SEAtS supports a range of commands that let you see:

Student Summary Data

The SEAtS bot can help staff users get a quick overview of a student’s information. To use it, just type Student [StudentNumber] or Student [StudentNumber] Info in the SEAtS Microsoft Teams App. The bot will reply with an adaptive card that shows the following details:

  • Full Name and student number (clickable link to SEAtS student details)
  • Student type
  • Email
  • List of courses
  • Last physical swipe
  • Last online activity

This is a handy way to check on a student’s progress and engagement with SEAtS.

Student Attendance Data

When a staff user posts a message to the SEAtS bot containing the students number and supported command (Student [StudentNumber] Attendance), the SEAtS bot will return an adaptive card containing a summary of information about the student.

i.e. Full name and student number [hyperlinked to SEAtS student details]; student type; email; list of active modules; list last e.g. 10 student schedules with the following data:

  • red/green up/down check icon corresponding to attendance/absence

The SEAtS bot will return information about the student’s case history, ie. Full Name and student number [hyperlinked to SEAtS student details]; student type; email; list of active workflows; list of last 10 stage changes with the following data

  • red/green up/down arrow icon corresponding to stage move. Green down arrow when stages are equal.

  • stage to

List of Supported Commands

The SEAtS bot can do many things, but it needs the right commands. If you send a message that the bot doesn’t understand, it will show you a list of commands that it can do.

Sometimes, you might forget to include some information, like a student number, in your command. Don’t worry, the bot will ask you for it and then continue with your request.
