West London University sought an innovative automated system to monitor and report on student attendance and engagement in order to support student welfare and academic success. They also wished to enable compliance with the UK Border Agency (UKBA) for international students. After researching the market for suitable software solutions, they selected SEAtS student engagement and attendance software. The SEAtS system has enabled delivery of strengthened student retention, reporting, compliance and achievement generating more accurate real time monitoring.
It has also reduced administration and improved transparency for pastoral care. With a rapidly growing and diverse international student population UWL required a formal engagement and attendance policy enabled through supporting systems. They required processes to ensure both a proactive approach to student welfare and to support their Highly Trusted Status which enables them to sponsor and teach international students.University Website
