The Challenge

SEATS have been busy working with our customers, advisers in education matters and hardware partners to look at innovative ways of using our software and devices to make the return to campus safer for staff and students.

The Challenge Ahead

Epidemiological Advice is that without constant testing of the people on campus, we are fighting a battle that cannot be won. Every Campus location must have the ability for periodic testing and contact tracing that is both comprehensive and mandatory. This makes returning to normal teaching an even more difficult proposition.

SEAtS remotely identifies staff and students as they present on campus.

SEAtS Objectives

SEAtS remotely identifies staff and students as they present on campus who may be developing a temperature that may be symptomatic of Covid-19 and therefore should not present on campus.

SEAtS have adapted our workflows, pastoral care and attendance solutions to deliver an early warning alert for those presenting with possible COVID19 symptoms.

The best way to ensure a healthy learning environment is to try to ensure that everyone on campus is virus-free.

How it works

SEAtS touchless devices take a student’s temperature at a campus entry point.

How it works

SEAtS touchless devices take a student’s temperature at a campus entry point, and again on checking into each class. We offer several devices, each with a specific level of symptom screening and accuracy. Staff can also participate using their staff ID cards.

Students who have a temperature are sent a private message asking them to report to an on-campus test location. A case is opened in SEAtS for each student to manage their care which includes triggered SEAtS Workflow communications for personal assistance as well as updating students who may have been in contact over a 2 week period.
